TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND FAQS

Greetings, and welcome to my latest round of direct sales and auctions! I’ve been doing this for about 6 years, but recently I took more than a year off due to me being in Japan for a very long time. Now I’m back again with all sorts of lovely things to share with you!
I no longer have my domain (touchez-moi.com has, sadly, died) so I’ll be doing sales primarily through eBay and Livejournal.

BIDDING PROCESS

Things get pretty crazy in comments sometimes, so I request that you email your bid to supershanamania@yahoo.co.jp. I try to check my email frequently, so this ensures a quick response. Comments, on the other hand, often get entirely overlooked, so please, please, please email your bids to supershanamania@yahoo.co.jp.

In your email, include the following:

Item Number:
Item Name:
Bid Amount:
LJ Account Name (only if you have one):
Alternate Email Address (only if you have one)

As soon as I receive your bid (generally within 12 hours), I will send you a short message letting you know that your bid has been recorded. If your bid is the new high bid, it will generally be updated on the sales page within 12 hours. I do, however, have school to deal with, so please give me 24 hours before sending another mail. Also, as I cross-list items, I apologize in advance if I space out and update the high bid on one page but not the other. Feel free to point out horrible, blatant errors by emailing me at supershanamania@yahoo.co.jp.

HOLDS

I know it really sucks to see something perfect and want it badly, but not have funds available until a week or two later. Unfortunately, people putting things on hold and then deciding not to buy them can be damaging to my business. As a compromise, I have developed a modified-hold policy.

If you want to put something on hold, you are agreeing to purchase it at the Buy it Now price. Email me all of the information that you would send in a normal bid email and include a note saying that you would like to put the item on hold. Please include your paypal info.

I will send you an invoice for 30% of the total price of the item. You have two weeks to pay the balance. If you pay the remaining 70% within two weeks, you are awesome and I will love you forever. If you back out within 24 hours I will deduct 5% plus $2 for paypal fees, return the rest of the money to you, and relist the item. If you back out by the end of the week, I will deduct 10% plus $2, return the rest of the money to you, and relist the item. If you back out within two weeks of the date we made the hold agreement, I will deduct 20% plus $2, return the rest of the money to you, and relist the item. If you wait any longer than that, no refund will be made.

If possible, I prefer to not to do this. Please consider your financial situation carefully before requesting a hold.

TRADES AND HAGGLING

Unfortunately, I cannot currently accept trades. Requests for trades will be politely declined. Haggling will most likely be ignored. I haven’t been able to find a job since I got back to the USA, so this is my only source of income. Please respect that.

BUY IT NOW

Due to popular demand during my previous sales, I am now offering a BIN price on most auctions. The BIN price is located next to the normal price. The BIN option cannot be used if an item has received more than five bids.

BIN auctions must be paid within 48 hours of my initial reply to you. BIN items not paid for within 48 hours will be relisted. Sorry. ;_;

FREEBIES AND STORE BAGS

I often have small amounts of brand promo items, like flyers and mini-catalogues, and some random handmade goodies. I also have limited numbers of the original store bags that the items came in. I know it’s not much, but for a girl who’s never had the pleasure of shopping in Japan, it can be a cool thing to have around, right? These go mostly to people who make large purchases, people who are extraordinarily nice, people who pay in a timely fashion, and people who in general where a pleasure to do business with. However, as these items are VERY limited, please don’t be too very hurt if you don’t receive something. I also give out coupons on many purchases, generally based on your total purchase amount. I know it’s not much, but I try. Really. :/

COUPONS

Have an old touchez-moi.com coupon? I gave out tons of them several years ago, and few of them have been redeemed. I don’t have the domain anymore, but you’re still welcome to use them.

When redeeming a coupon, you’ll need to let me know at the time of your bid that you have it. I’ll also need some kind of physical evidence (a decent, clear picture of the coupon, or a scan, will do). If you’re mailing payment, please enclose the coupon in the envelope. At the time of payment, I will apply the coupon savings.

PAYMENT

Payment is accepted via concealed cash, checks, money orders, cake, and paypal. Paypal payments will be assessed a $2 fee for payments within the USA and a $3 fee for international payments. I actually prefer concealed cash and money orders because there is less potential for people *coughMABETcoughcough* to rip me off. I realize that most people are nice and honest, but paypal scares me. >_>

For BIN auctions where payment must be made within 48 hours, if you are not paying via paypal, but rather my preferred methods, a picture or scan of the money order or receipt from the post office will be considered adequate proof of payment.

SHIPPING

97% of the packages I ship are mailed via USPS priority mail, generally in flat-rate boxes. USPS Priority Mail is a fast, safe, and relatively inexpensive way for me to deliver your new goodies to you. Depending on the size/number of items, shipping will generally run from $4.75~$10. International orders are mailed via USPS International Priority Mail. International shipping starts at $10 and can often cost quite a bit more. Really small items, such as socks and accessories, can be mailed in little flat rate envelopes, which is much less expensive.

I can also arrange for your goodies to be sent via express mail if you’re in a hurry. It is pricey, but if there’s something you just have to have for that lolita meetup this weekend, or a convention that’s just around the corner, express mail might just be the best option.

UPS and Fedex cost a ridiculous amount to ship in/out of Alaska, so for most people that won’t be an option.

On the other hand, if you live inside of Alaska, you can just swing by and pick your goodies up... but I don’t think any of you will be able to use that option!

To get an idea of how much postage will cost, please use the USPS Postage Calculator, located at http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepostage/welcome.htm?from=global&page=0061calculatepostage
My zip code is 99654.

Please note that the USPS Postage Calculator is only a guideline-- postage rates will be applied at my discretion, but since I often mail stuff out in flat-rate boxes, the rates usually will be the same as the ones on the website.

Insurance is available upon request. Paypal purchases over the amount of $50 will require delivery confirmation.

Shipping days are Tuesday and Friday. If I get to the post office between those times, I’ll mail your package early, but I guarantee that your package will be mailed by the Tuesday or Friday after your payment. One of my problems before was that I had no car and was unable to go to the post office to mail things on a regular basis, but now I not only have a car but also can utilize the Carrier Pickup thing that USPS is doing. :D

FAQ

Q: Can I get another picture of _______?
A: Certainly! If you need a closeup of a certain area, a picture of the item lying flat, etc., I will be happy to take one for you. Please include item number and name, and be very specific as to what it is that you need a picture of. I apologize in advance for the horrible white balance of my digital camera and my not-so-good photography skills.

Q: Those measurements are tiny! What’s with that?
A: Most of the measurements are taken lying flat, so waist and bust measurements are actually 2x the measurements listed in the item description.

Q: Why is everything so expensive? That’s not fair!
A: I know, I know. ;_; But I have to account for a lot of things-- like the cost of mailing, and the duties I pay when I carry things back to America instead of mailing them. Also, the stuff is not really that cheap to begin with. I know it’s horrible, but what’s a girl to do?

Q: Why are you so much more expensive than you used to be?
A: Because I found out that a lot of people were buying my stuff with the purpose of reselling it for a profit. At the time, I was young and naive and just wanted to make everyone happy, so I was selling things for super-cheap-- I had almost zero profit margin. I don’t really want people to make money off of me being idealistic, so I raised the prices, but you’ll still find that almost everything I sell is below Japanese retail, even the brand-new-with-tags items.

Q: I promise not to resell your items! Can’t you sell me something cheap?
A: Sorry, but no. Times have changed, grasshopper.

Q: Do you smoke/have pets?
A: I do not smoke (it’s gross!) but I do have pretty much every kind of pet in existence. Seriously. Two dogs, two cats, one gorgeous horse and a big hairy llama. OK, that’s not anywhere close to every pet in existence, but it’s a lot, right? I do keep the menagerie away from the goodies, and the goodies are for the most part wrapped in plastic to keep them pristine.

Q: It’s not listed in your auctions, but I saw item _____ coordinated with a really cool ______ in the pictures, and I was wondering, is that for sale too?
A: It may be an item which will be for sale in a future auction/direct sale. It might be something I’ve already sold. It may also just be some random item that I own and thought would look groovy in the coordinate and make pretty pictures. If it’s the latter, I might be open to offers. If you send me a link to the image you’re talking about, and a description of the item you’re talking about, I’ll be able to fill you in.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at supershanamania@yahoo.co.jp, call me on skype (supershanamania), instant message me, etc. Email is probably the best way though. :D

Please note that by placing a bid you acknowlage that you have read all terms and conditions.
